Hi Everyone,
My Pac Man's home is being overran by a white bright mold. I'm currently using Zoo-Med's Eco Earth as a substrate. I cleaned the tank really good and the next day I saw lil white specks which became the mold. Before I cleaned the tank there was no mold. Only after the cleaning did the mold appear. The only thing I have done differently is that I have began to treat my frog with Zoo-Med's ReptiWound Healing Aid. I began using it the every 1st day I cleaned the tank. He had a few cuts and open sores on one of his legs. The wounds appear to be healing up fine and my frog has began to eat more than ever. Could this healing aid cause the mold. The aid contents jojoba oil, 8-quinolinol, and tea tree oil. Also the mold doesn't appear to bother the frog. I plan on changing the substrate again in 2 weeks before I travel. But I don't wanna risk hurting my frog by leaving him in the mold and/or changing the substrate in 2 weeks and the mold coming right back. Help anyone!?!
