Okay, here is what we have... Exo-Terra 8"x8" UTH. 75w Infrared Heat Lamp at one end of the tank keeping a basking site temp of around 90 degrees. ( I am still playing with the setting on the repti-temp rheostat to bring that down a few degrees). However, the den end of the tank now sits at like 75 degrees... is this too cold?? Should I move the Heat Lamp towards the center of the tank?? Please give me some help here.. thanks

Jeff

In my 40 long, the cool side is around 76F. They tend to stay on the warmer side(90F - 92F) more than the cool side. However, they do spend a lot of the time on the cool side in the evening. I haven't had any problems with them breeding or feeding at these temps either. I'd say your temps are fine, since they will adjust their body temperature as they need to. They tend to spend more time on the warmer side to aid in digestion after feeding, but roam about at night.

Hope this helps

So where should his hideout be?? At the cooler side or the warmer side. Mine is laying in the middle of the tank out in the open, and I feel like it may be stressing because of nowhere to hide out...

Put a hide on the cool side and the warm side. You should really just leave your leo alone for a couple of days to allow it to adjust.
