Question about WormMan...

Lucien Jul 13, 2003 05:26 PM

Has anyone else had trouble with getting their shipments of feeders from them? I ordered a 2000 lot of mealworms from them on Monday of this past week... and have yet to recieve the package... Almost a week later...It was shipped on Monday too...so I don't even know how many of them will still be alive when I get them.

I have never had an issue with them. They are usually really good. Have you tried to call them or email them. They do reply promptly.

Yes, my question would be if you've confirmed that they sent the package--if they did, then the problem is going to be the postal service, and not Wormman.

Yeah... we got it all cleared up... Wormman is reshipping the order tomorrow.. this was the first time I'd ever dealt with them.. I usually don't have to buy mealies...I breed my own but going through 600 a week has strained my colony.. so I had to order some more to lay in as breeders...

I had the exact same problem. What I did was take some mealies and adults out of my original colony and started another one. I now have two fully functional colonys so when one starts to look kinda low, I just avoid taking them from that one. Many little colonys work better then one big one. They seem to max out after a bit.

Yeah I've noticed. I'm picking up another drawer system tomorrow and taking most of the new shipment I just got and seperating it into that drawer system and leaving it for a couple months..let it grow into a respectable colony... Mealies, thankfully, are cheap and easy to breed once you get them set up.. *chuckles* I've also got superworms (Zoophoba) growing right now...a couple hundred of them(More on the way..thats just in one drawer..the adults have since been moved to another drawer) from the beetles I produced....
