Calcium deposits?

Roughgreen Jun 09, 2005 03:22 PM

I know some gecko's get calcium deposits around their face which makes them look puffy, do snakes do the same? The reason I ask is because my rough green snake has a puffy face. One bump under each eye and two bumps up by the tip of his nose. He's eating and seems to be healthy, but he's just recently puffed up. I hope its nothing serious.

No, in snakes such bumps are the results of abrasions, absesses, or parasites.
