Hello and a Question

edre_hawkflyer Jun 09, 2005 05:59 PM

Hello everyone. I've been reading for a while and want to thank everyone for all the info. I'm a new leo owner. I've had K.C. for about two months now and he's about five or six months old. I just love him!

Anyway, I was wondering: how on earth do you get a leo to eat out of his bowl? I feed him mainly mealies and he refuses to eat out of his bowl. Any advice?

if you handfeed him. make sure its a shallow bowl. feed him over the top of the bowl then with one ofyour mealies put it in the bowl and see if it takes the mealie when you drop it in. try this in teh middle of a feeding session. and then next night make it eat more from the bowel. just so it acosates the area of the bowl with food. then when you think hes ok with the bowl just leave your mealies in the bowl becaue hell go to that area for food. and if its hungry it wont be too choosey about the bowl.

thats just my idea of almost training you gecko. ive only ahd my gecko just over 2 weeks and it already acociates a certaina rea of its tank with food. tho i feed crix but i think that may work. people whove had this experiance will be better able to reply
