How to move across country w/african dwarf frogs

darlawinters Jul 13, 2003 06:09 PM

I have two African Dwarf Froggies. I will be moving across country from CA to PA soon and want to take my little froggies with me. I have had them for some time and they are very dear to me. Does anyone know how I can move them across the country safely? We will be driving in a rental truck, for about 5 days total. Is there a way I can mount a holding tank inside our truck's front cabin? Would that be too traumatic for them? Should I take them on an airplane instead as a carry-on? How would I pack them? Help. I would really hate to leave them behind, and hope someone else has had this same predicament and knows what to do. Thanks!

Just pet them in a critter keeper or something with only an 1" of water in it and make sure it is secure. And where at in PA I live in Ohio.

Whenever I have traveled between college and home, I use the small Gladware containers with a couple inches of water. It works well!
