I have never seen the pair locked up, but the female looked gravid. Now I know she was. I checked on her about 1/2 an hour ago & there were 6 good looking eggs already out. She has since laid a 7th which is most likely good. There may well be an 8th smaller egg or slug yet to come.

cool eric & congratulations! i still cannot believe your stunning luck that day.....i remember the story. i 'constantly' watch the side of the road but all i ever seem to see are dor possums, deer, etc. the next bullsnake, [gravid or not] i find would be the first.....;>/

It turns out that there was not another egg. Both the momma & they eggs are doing well!
