Rodent Chow/Lab Block....

rogueherp Jun 10, 2005 10:39 AM

I currently feed my rodent feeder colony off of my own food mix. But it really increases the upkeep time. And I'd like to switch to rodent Lab Block or some kind of large rodent chow... So far I've had no luck finding it, and I'm willing to drive for it. Do any of you here in Oregon have a good supplier, or something/somewhere you'd recommend??
Thanx, for any input you've got ahead of time.

I have breeder friends that use the Mazuri Rodent blocks.. I use it for my own small colony and like it. I do find that I must change bedding more often, much more water intake as well. Cost is about $17.00 for 50 lb bag.

I am not sure just where they get it, some feed store in Eugene. Try calling around your area to see who carries it.

Also, If you are interested, the OHS has a yahoo email group. All great herp folks, including rodent breeders. Should get better info that what may show up here..Usually just myself here..
