Occasionally, my female gtp will make a loud (it's loud enough to startle me late at night) hacking-coughing-gagging sound... I don't know why, and can't see any particular reason for it.
I've never observed this behavior with any of my other snakes.
The 'cough' is typically followed by a series of snake-yawns, and a jaw realignment.
I notice her do it maybe once a week.... sometimes going a couple months without noticing it.
I only mention it out of concern of her last 'sneeze', as it seemed to be followed by some spitting up of clear liquid (I'm under the impresion that it was water). This had never happened before.
She is otherwise in perfect health.... good appetite, clear eyes, good muscle tone, no nazal blockages, no labored breathing, no other indications of an respiratory disease....
Any ideas?
