Anyone ever use a reptarium made by Apogee?

yellowfox Jun 10, 2005 02:31 PM

I'm looking for something to put drayko in so he can enjoy being outside without having to worry about him running away. the size i really want is $100, 29" x 29" x 48".

has anyone ever used one? I'm sure i can get them somewhere other than petsmart for cheaper but this was about the only thing i could find.

Yeah they're fine for outside.

I've heard rumors that they block some UV from getting through for some reason(not sure if this is accurate or not).. but being outside that would be negligible.

size sounds good too... what is that ? about 100 gal equivalent?

sorry i couldn't be more help

They are great cages for outside, but still be sure to provide some shady place to retreat. Here is a good place to buy from:

Hope that helps!

Its closer to a 130g size (i think a 120 is 24 x 25 x 48) which for his size now is to big but being outside and not having to search for food or something i think will be ok. As he gets older i think he will be ok to roam around but i had him outside the other day to run around and he was INSANELY fast. I don't want to lose the little guy so i'm playing it safe. He was fine as long as nothing was moving but if i moved he would move, then when i went to get him he sprinted

I was told to just get a refrigerator box and put mine in there to go outside for a little while. Its a cheap way to go until you find what you want. The pet store that I go to to get everything for my beardies has those mesh terrariums as well and I was thinking of getting my beardies one for the summer since I can leave them outside during the summer but I don't think that they were that expensive over there but then again this place has the best prices that I've ever seen from a pet store. If you get one let me know how it works because I'm afraid of their nails getting caught in the mesh.

Reptariums are great...not too much else to say. The only thing is...sometimes the plastic connecters don't want to fit...then you have to try to jam them together. Or, do what I do and throw them at the wall Once you get them together though, they rule! I've never had a stuck nail before either. I suppose it could happen.
