This is Dryadophis dorsalis. It is just about as jumpy a racer as you can get but they sure are beautiful.

i have to agree, if you dont mind sharing, where do you get all these cool colubrids from? south and central american colubrids are so much more interesting in my opinion than amything commonly sold in the pet trade (kings, milks, corns and rats etc..) by the way, do you keep any calico snakes? what other interesting colubrids do you have? thanks and nice animal

I get them from importers and friends that share the same interests in the hobby. I am just lucky to be in south florida where many of the importers are located and I am in constant communication with them and have to jump in my vehicle and get it before someone else gets it so to speak. I was in the military a very long time and was never able to keep or establish any type of collection for a long period, so I am making up for it now. lol. Oh, and I recently was given a digital camera and have discovered that taking photos of my snakes makes me enjoy them much more than I ever could imagine. I think the gift of the camera was the best present I ever received and I am a little nuts taking all these pictures but cannot stop.

haha, photography is fun, and keep the pics coming. speeking of importers i know what you mean about jumping in the truck to get the animals, i tried to order some speckled racers only to discover they had all some how been sold overnight. you definitely have some cool snakes. i hope to be attending university of florida or possibly miami next year so im deffinitely going to try and get to know some of these importers if at all possible.
