my bearded is approx 6-7 months old. and is 76grams and about 11inches from nose to tip of tail. she eats good loves her pellets and veggies; has slowed down on crickets a bit now that shes older. she seems fat enough thick base of tail. I just know mine isnt nearly as big as some of the ones I hear about on here. I bought her from a petco in january. and she was about 4 inches. I am just wondering I have heard about people being sold rankin dragons by petshops who did not know the difference. so i am a little paranoid. Is there any way to tell physically the difference between the two. Thanks. I am ot new to this site but my computer was down for a couple of months and I am just getting back online

Hi! I got Bailey, my bearded dragon, from a very good breeder and she is very small compared to most. So don't be alarmed. Some get big and some don't. As long as she seems healthy in other aspects, you have nothing to worry about. You are actually pretty lucky, coming from Petco I'm surprised she survived and is healthy. I don't go to Petco anymore because they didn't listen to advise I gave them about babies beardies they had gotten in and a week later they were all dead! So feel fortunate size is the only problem Mine will be 2 yrs in December and my friend's dragon is about 7 months old and twice her size! Bailey's mom is huge too, so I don't know what happened. But think of it this way, she is a lot easier to take places...Bailey fits in my bag! Hope that helped!
