I was a little worried about the young one taking mice, she's about a ft long but she took a small fuzzy scented with my favorite frozen canyon lizard - no problem. Everyone has their own recipe for success, but my first meal offered to sub-adult or adult size, wild caught alterna is always a thawed hopper scented with Merriam's canyon lizard. Right out of the pillow sack (or
coffee can in this case) into as familiar a surrounding
as possible (cardboard hide boxes low to the ground in aqauriums adorned with rocks from cuts near my finds - I brought back about 100 lbs this time!) and presto - I don't seem to have any feeding problems associated with a transition from rocky limestone to open shoe box living
