rick d Jun 10, 2005 10:30 PM

What's the approximate incubation time for Gulf coast eggs at around 80-82 degrees?

hard to say exact time I had 40(not box turtle eggs but same incubation as boxies) turtle eggs last year incubating at 80* and took them almost 4 months to hatch but I've heard of people incubating at 80 degrees and getting hatchlings by 60 days.
good luck!

Easterns take approximately 55 days @ 84 degrees. (For me anyway.)

Because there can be variables, a smart thing to do would be to start checking on them more regularly at the 50 day mark, and start getting your hatchling setup ready at about that time.
Our Easterns usually start pipping at about 60 days, although hatchlings from the same clutch can be days apart, even more than a week.
Good luck!
