At least 36" and healthy and minimum age: 18 months, preferrably 2.5 years to ensure ALL good sperm! I would only breed him to his own kind and MAYBE a goini(appalachicola),brooksi(florida),nigra(black),holbrooki(speckled) Those breedings happen in the wild occasionally anyway. Would not breed him to nothing else - unless you're into hybrids!
My 03' South Georgia male is already 47" and I almost bred him THIS year and I could have (back in Mar)! I decided to wait, since I have enough other males already. Hope that helps. Here's an older pic of that 03' monster, a Kevin Enge product.

Thanks Mike! My 12 year old son flipped him when we went herping together to our favorite spot!

I was thinking of another (WC) snake that my son found! I'm awake now!!!
But thanks for the compliment, still! He is awesome and I'm expecting him to hit the 6 foot mark (at least) like his father did!

I've breed numerous (cal kings) 18 month old males to other 18 month old females and to older females. Only once have I had a clutch of infertile eggs. Could have been the young male or it could have been the young female. I brumate all of my snakes for almost 4 months prior to breeding.

Here is a picture of a Ghost male and a Mendota female. She laid 9 good eggs.

On the cornsnake forum people have posted that they have successfully bred cornsnakes before they were 1 year old.
