pretty well sums up what i was saying in my post below and YOU KNOW that every alterna that is seen is normally collected and this is only from 2 collectors and doesn't even reflect some others down there who won't post what they found.

This is a rare occurance. If you were to add all the alterna collected in say a seven day period and all the collectors out at the same time period it would probably result in a negative number collected per person.

and been there, done it. Point being with the thread of what i posted as to me saying I don't see a difference in relation of everything collected or numbers of any species collected as to the ultimate goal of collecting that many in numbers ( keeping ) of any species. While i too don't necessarily believe an impact would result of these numbers of the given area, with females collected though, it just may down the road. Yes. I'm talking of the micro-habitat area of the given area. In my mind and thinking ,who needs dozens of alterna all WC ? If there would be legislation come up again, you might just consider the wild life seeing these numbers of collected and move to do something again. I mean that is really how it got started at one time ( a part of the blanket observation/laws in effect that i remember propelled the " LIST " ) and most defiantly how we in Kansas got to our own wild collected species laws in effect/enforced.

yes.......me a tousnd...all gravid light phases...but those pencil pushers look at what is being said to be caught ,not true ratios of roadcollected vs. field collected....skimming snakes off a rock cut or sliding 'cross a road i don't feelreally deplets the true habitat populations, although those cuts sure do mimic canyon walls ,they'd be perfect for a true life history study of alterna......if they would be observed not caught......SSSUUREEE??????????
