Would it be ok to use a human heating pad for everyday use or does this have bad new written all over it? Do I need a reptile heating pad? Thanks.

...guess people have a thing against Texas Tech.
I tried using a heating pad for short term use...I didnt know it, but it was the type that shuts off after two hours. I left it there, and checked on the snake the next day, and she was ice cold...I felt terrible! Anyway, I would just go buy a heating pad made for reptiles. You owe it to your pet to care for them properly...don't buy them something that wasnt made especially for them, because it wont work properly for them (I made that mistake, won't do it again...I keep reptile heat pads/cables in stock now, just in case!) Good luck!

Thank you for your advice. Finally someone that replies to just run of the mill questions. Thanks again.
Weekends aren't great days to post, seems like a lot of people are gone during the weekend. Anyway - about the heating pads - they can be used, depending on the type, I have some I use sometimes when I end up with some snakes I haven't got space for yet. But for long term use, you are better off getting a reptile one, and hooking it up to a thermostat or rheostat (sp?).
