hemp substrate?

Reptileszz Jun 11, 2005 05:40 PM

Hi all, I went to the store to get some aspen bedding today and there was this hemp bedding. I bought some for my corns but wanted to see what the concensus was before I go there. I think I have heard that people in the UK have been using it for some time but not sure.

Thanks!

If you start using that stuff you'll have to continuously frisk them for papers and pipes.

Then they got the munchies and ate all the rodents in the freezer. :D

I've heard its pretty good, but no better than say Aspen bedding, and from my experience its more expensive here also.

Yeah it works, but I notice that it smelled and developed a kind of mildew-like look to it if I misted it even lightly during shed time. I got rid of it. Aspen or sani-chip substrates are better IMO.

Hi thanks to everyone that sent real responses. I will use the small bag Igot and probably go back to aspen as it is cheaper and seems similar.

Thanks again,
Carole
