I posted a message with more detail over in the gartersnake forum, but figured id post it here too.
Anyone know what kind of snake this is? Im thinking its some type of garter... possibly a king, but I doubt it.

It is a racer, Coluber constrictor sp. Depending on where you are located it could be a blue racer, C. constrictor foxi, E. yellow belly, C. constrictor flaviventris, or a tan racer, C. constrictor etheridgei. Check Conant's field guide or on line for your local. THe smooth scales show that it is no garter.

Thanks! Thats defiantely what it is - a blue racer. Im going to keep this girl, and possibly try to find a mate for her.
