Jon S. asked me post this for you, I hope it's OK Doug,
I would not just post a pic w/o permission.

Congrats on a great looking Davis alterna!

Hi Joe,

No problem posting the pic. Jon mentioned that he would like to get it posted and I said ok, thanks.

If you would be so kind to include my updated info for the new breeders page it would be appreciated.

Got you listed. Check to see if that's still a correct e-mail address for you.

The email address is still correct. Thanks for everything you do and the quality in which you do it.

Doug,
I think I lile that one more then Norm doe's. It is very unique for a lympia canyon alterna. Usually they do not have that much orange. Nice to have a little diversity from the same area. That would be harder to find as it is not typical in my opinion. Nice snake. Congrats...Ric Blair

I like the snake better than Norm does as well. I think it's a point or two better than how it is rated on the Nunley scale.

Way to go Doug! Nice way to end a "batting slump"! How large is it and was it on the road or a cut. Looks like Limpia and Sanderson are the hotspots the last several years. Email me when you get time with details. P.S. Vols and Gators in the CWS. Want to place a wager?????

Doug Beckwith Jun 13, 2005 10:29 PM

but it is nice to get an extra base hit.

The snake is a male and is about 20 to 24 inches and was found on the road just south of the northern picnic area.

I have been doing a lot more walking these last several years and I'm beginning to think that alterna being found on cuts is a myth perpetuated by some vast eastern Val Verde and Terrell counties conspiracy.

I don't know what happened today in the college W.S. so a bet may not be in order. Go Gators!

Congrats Doug, that is a great looking snake. I like the first 3 bands. You certainly earned one after all the time you have put in sticking to the west.

Congrats of a fine looking Davis alterna, and a light phase to boot! JF
