is my set up good?

bombine2001 Jun 12, 2005 12:22 PM

just want to check my set-up with everyone out there. it's a custome built cage 8'L x 5'W x 3'H. the basking temp is between 105-110 degrees and the rest of the cage is in the mid 80's. the humidity is around 60%. the night temps are around 75-80 degrees. i have this guy on repti-bark, but i'm thinking about switching to cypress mulch. please let me know if this sounds good, or if i need to adjust anything. he hasn't eaten since i got him 5 days ago and i'm worried i might not have it set-up right...he just looks at the mice, no attempt to eat one!?! thanks

Setup sounds great. How are you getting those perfect temps and humidity in a cage that big?

thanks! i use 2 spot bulbs both set up on thermostats that keep the cage at exact temps. for the humidity i use a waterfall with a fogger built in.

1 Problem with the cage, how do you plan on moving it? can you get it through the door? :0)
