hmmm... lookes like the scales just seperated their... thats weird... did it have the white spot when u got it??? if not it might be a scar... i have one that has a spot where the scales are missing... its a scar...

if you wanna see a real white spot check this guy out...
this is not a scar... but i dont know what is causing it... he is getting more and more... he did not have this when i got him and has spot all over like this...

enjoy and good luck keeping that kid yellow...

Shiloh

I have one that is doing the same thing. As he is changing from red to yellow and some hints of green he is developing white spot about the size of a dime. He has two of them now and it looks like another is starting. Kind weird. Maybe they'll fill in later.

Those are some of the prettiest "Canarys" I've seen yet of good size!! Things are looking up for us here waiting in the wings for some future cbb babies out of these guys. No matter what happens over the long run, even if this is just a neonate/juvie phase.... they are certainly different than any other locale type I've seen yet.

That white reminds me of one of my extreme High Yellow desinger snakes, it looks natural to me on yours too, very similar.

Nice looking Kafiau's you have there, did you get them from Ben? The male with the scar on his head looks like one he had a while back.Randy

I am not sure it is the same thing but I got a couple of WC Banka Island bloods from Ben awhile back and they had white spots on their dorsal region. It didnt look at all like scars as it was between the scale as well as on the scales and their was no obvious scar tissue or damage to scalation. The best we could come up with was that it was damage caused by tick infestations. At first it didnt look like anything that could be caused by a bite but when you stop and thing about all that happens when a tick attaches itself and drains blood for several weeks it seems plausible. It just makes one wonder when it shows up in wild-caught animals.

Of course GTPs are nothing like bloods, color and pattern gliches are more the norm with GTPS. It might just be a vaiation in pigment
levels. Who knows?

Are these the same animals you had listed recently? some of the photos look the same, anyway what I was asking was did you get these from Ben as the male with the scar on his head looks like one he had listed a while back. Gotta love these Kafiau's have a few hanging around here. Randy
