Tokay Gecko diet

junospride Jun 12, 2005 06:44 PM

Hi. I am considering purchasing a few geckos to have around the outside of the house. Just love their mating calls and think they are very pretty. I used to own some many years ago. They were hardy and did great. I know they eat insects, roaches and small mice, etc. But does anyone know if they eat spiders? Or any other lizard that does?
Thanks!

Interesting....where do u live? Hawaii? Do you mean inside your home or like outside? They definately COULD eat spiders, but i really don't seem them doing any sort of spider control. Just because most spiders are kinda small (and big ones are probably too venomous) any they don't move around too much if theyre in their webs......so they may not be interested. I unfortunately don't know of any other lizards that would eat spiders undoubtfully.
