Sizing question??

Hayleyjmc Jun 12, 2005 07:41 PM

red tail boa, and it's about 8 months old and is about 21 inches in length. I was wondering if that is the proper size for her snake. It made me question it because when mine was at that age she was about 3 feet or so. She has been feeding it regularly, and shedding about once ever 1 or 2 months, but it just doesn't seem to be getting any bigger even though it's shedding. Any Comments??

They all grow at their own pace. There is no true answer for what size it should be.

be a Central American or have some CA blodd in it? I have a little Nicaraguan that I have had for over 8 months and it seems like she has barely grown but she has eaten her fair share and shed quite a bit. But like Ed said some Boas just grow slower than others. Who knows you might see a growth spurt coming up!!!
