SICK NORTHERN PINE AND BULLSNAKE

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP I HAVE A PINE AND BULL SNAKE THAT ARE SICK.IT STARTED WITH THICK,CLEAR MUCUS IN THE STOOL AND HAS PROGRESSED TO BLOODY AND MUCUS LIKE STOOL IN THE BULLSNAKE AND MUCUS RUNNY STOOL IN THE PINE SNAKE. THE SMELL IS ALSO VERY PUNGENT.I HAVE BEEN TREATING WITH ALBON {SULFADIMETHOXINE} 5% FOR SEVEN DAYS AND THEN SWITCHED TO EVERY OTHER DAY.IM NOT SEEING ANY REAL IMPROVEMENTS THOUGH. ALSO MY SNAKES HAVE NO APPETITE.HAS ANYONE ELSE HAD THIS PROBLEM AND ANY LUCK CURING IT ? ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED THANKS

You are describing symptoms, and not an illness. The possibilities are endless, including all bacterial, viral and parasitic pathologies. Keep these two snakes seperated, and seperate from any other animals you may have. Keep very clean, as most likely the problem can re-infect itself with fecal contamination.

Since you have treated with Albon can I assume you have already been to a vet? If this is the case or not, your veterinarian will have further information for you regarding future diagnostics and treatment considerations.
