Veiws of the Pecos River

John Fraser Jun 13, 2005 10:41 AM

Here are 2 veiws of the Pecos River, as I stood there last Thursday, June 11 and took these photos. It was great to see the Pecos back up to levels I had not seen in over 15+ years & even the boat ramps were again in use. Thought I would share these photos from grayband land.... John

Okay, it was June 9, not the 11th, before I get reminded, LOL.

I got a better dig next time yall come down.
One of these days, we need to take a boat/kayak down the grande from sanderson or there abouts if we can find a put in and decent take out point that won't kill us. I bet there are some "interesting" spots to be found. J

There is a take-out on Indian Creek ranch. Just a few miles downstream from the Shafter Canyon Pull-out. Or just go all the way to langtry.

I'd like to start that trip from La Linda and do the whole lower canyons tour.
