I don't think you have mites. If your leo did have mites they would be red, or black. If he does have them, you will see the mites crawling on your hands after handling your leo.

well they dotn move they just white specks. and there are only abuot 5 or so

kungfu2811 Jun 13, 2005 02:11 PM

Its probably just new color coming in from shedding. If the spots arent moving then they arent mites.

Thanks,
Andrew

Oh, are you talking about that guy who claimed he had a "piebald" leopard gecko?

Here's a pic:

Using the Kingsnake Search of archives is a pain in the butt, though I finally managed to find the posts:

From other posts in the thread about piebalds:

Albey believes it's a genetic trait, and it's supposedly a wild caught leo.

it aperes to have arived over the last shed. and its basicly a thin line down between the eyes in the same place. if it comes out like the one in the pic im going to breed it with another leo. then breed it back to its offspring and see if it is genetic or what. never bred before but it seems kinda rare and not being bred as it is so id like to try it. i dunno ill tell you after hte next sehd if the ares has increased or not. would be cool if it had. just cos its differant. hey would you guys say that is a pi-bald neways?
