I looked at the stuff you were talking about today, but doesn't the poop, food and cricket frass get all stuck in it? Do you have paper towel under it? Do you just do one big cleaning weekly? I picked up a few types of liner today (different patterns, colors and designs (lol! - I'm such a GIRL!!) to see how they look.

You want the type of Duck Brand liner that does have a bit of texture to it--but no holes. This type is very easy to clean. We've used it for almost 2 years.

that is what I was looking at in Wal-Mart, but decided to check the stuff hotbelly mentioned at home depot. I did not buy any of that one due to the holes, seemed like it was a pain to clean and that is why I was asking him/her about it.

The stuff I bought was the duck brand and got a few different patterns to see whihc I liked best for the tank floor.

thanks,

Well, the stuff I got is textured with raised lines going in one direction only. It's not like it's sandpaper or anything. But if you saw something similar, you probably know what I'm talking about. I layed that down on my cage floor, and then covered the liner with paper towels. The paper towels are easy to change and take care of all the poop; the liner is there to protect anything underneath (because the bottom of my cage happens to be plywood) just in case something breaks the paper towel layer.
