handling question?

how can i pick up my pacman frog to put him in a new cage while i clean his?i used to just pick him up and put him in the tub cuz he jumps too much.how can i get him to calm down wen i pick him up?should i do it like i did with my leo?hold him for like 10 minutes every day?

It's a good idea to handle frogs as little as possible. Handling a frog for a minute or two while trasporting him to another cage is fine. However 10 minutes a day would most likely stress him out and cause him to become ill.

Not to mention the snareing teeth Pacmans are famous for. ALSO I would recomend getting him off that bark, as he can very easily get impacted.

ok.not to sound mean or anything i appritiate(sp)all the help but u didnt tell me how to handle him.ALSO i got him off the bark a while ago.i now use bed a beast.

What I do is to, more or less, scoff/drive him/her into an old icecreambox(about 2 liters I think, squareshape) and put on a lid with airholes while I clean the tank.
I've never really handled my pacman(as in holding him/her) I only use the method above.

I just pick ours up and put him in a tupperware container with a lid on it loosly or cock-eyed. If my hands are dirty, I will wear gloves, but generally I just pick him up (from the rear, I have heard of the teeth.....lol). Then I clean the cage and put him back. He/she is actually pretty good during the short trip in my hands. (I let myself thing he likes being held by me LOL).
