this isn't breeding season actually....that is winter months....but .........let's say you still want to actually breed something right now and the female is actually ready and willing at this time of the year.....
simple.......
IF the male is intrested in females and actually tries to breed....he actually is producing sperm and you don't have to see it to believe it's there......there may or may not be plugs.........but he may be producing......
if he thinks it- he has it.........

..................(I have never looked for plugs .....ever...........and have produced hundreds of babies......you just know what they are doing....and you just see if they are gravid......which means I actually don't palpate and squeeze the crap out of my females trying to tell if they have follicles or eggs or any size lumps.)....
.......just throw him with a girl..he'll tell you his opinion........
