I came home to see my female really dark and walking around the ground pacing all over her house. I put a thing in her house incase she had to lay eggs, she doesnt look big around the belly but do you think she might have to lay? Does anyone have pix of a cham with eggs in her?

Here she is after. It's pretty noticible when they have eggs inside them, I could definately see some of them through her skin. It is possible she was just looking for more food, maybe she's "outgrown" her enclosure, etc etc etc, there could be lot's of possibilities.

yes. i am assuming you have a veiled (chameleo calyptratus) ??? the females get dusky with little orange squiggles when gravid and they need a 12" deep moist sand bucket to lay in. do it now. they are famous lizards for becoming egg bound and dying. hopefully it does not happen, if it does...you can "extract" the eggs from the dead female and incubate them successfully. you need to research all this. there are a million sites about this if you type in genus and species from yahoo or msn.

veiled she is, I have a bucket in her house and she doesnt seem to have used it at all and I think she may be a bit on the big side in the belly, but then she will stretch out and have a slimmer look. I tryed to feel her and didnt feel anything but she was angry when I picked her up (got some dark black spots on her and the green got lighter) She has not been with the male at anytime so these eggs wont have to be kept. What is another idea to get her to lay if that is what she has to do? what about a blue box with a lid on it by her self for a bit. I hear that she wont eat when she has to lay but she is eating great and drinking when I mist her. She is in her cage now all angry with her mouth open and some dark spots all over. Anyone know what the deal is?

When mine was "pregnant' she seemed to be really short tempered and fussy, I could imagine why! But as for getting them to lay, I have heard people leaving them in a laying container, and other people not, so try whatever works for your cham, dont put the lid on though, she still needs the UV which is even more critical right now for egg developement. Oh and Cecilly was eating up untill she laid. Hope that makes sense and helps!

She is really short tempered!
I look at her and her mouth is open and she puffs up. She is never like this and when I pucked her up to feel around her belly she vibrated and got dark spots on her!
