Farewell (for now) >>>

chris_mcmartin Jun 13, 2005 10:50 PM

I'm only an occasional poster, so I wouldn't anticipate any big hoohah about me being gone, but on the off-chance someone does ask...

In a few days, I will be on hiatus for the foreseeable future (prior obligations put me in a place with limited Internet access). I can explain (a little) privately via email if you're dying to know the reason--those familiar with me can probably guess, but I ask that no discussion or speculation take place here.

See you in the fall!

...Chris, surely.... w/ a little girl that cute...who needs you now more than ever....my treasonous president is not sending you over to Iraq to join in the mission of the insane. If so my heart goes out to you & every other disposable American & British lad.
F-ing Vietnam; Take 2, reshuffle the deck/deal the cards...better hope you get 1 ace. As that old Peter Paul & Mary tune goes....when will we ever learn...the answer is never.
I hope this doesnt apply to you, but regardless it does to so many others.
The liar needs to be impeached.
In the end....they will have the oil & we will need to buy it.

Be safe, John Gunn

Now THAT was a good post. Here is praying for your safe return. I'm afraid I share Gunns lack of enthusiasm for the empire that is being built at the cost of American Military and Iraq Civilian lives. Impeachment sounds good. Actually it sounds NECCESSARY. Best of luck to you and Godspeed that youll return soon.
Sincerely,

Fred Albury

I don't know you, but we share a common bond. I served for 8 years and did two tours in the Gulf War(s) of the late 80's-early 90's. My day was kind of a walk in the park compared to what you guys are doing over there. I wish you the best of luck. What's that old military saying about fair winds and fowling seas? Remeber, Clinton was impeached and all it did was boost his approval rating. Impeachment dosn't mean "your fired", just "we don't like you and wish you would quit". Whoever your commander in chief is, I'm sure you'll do your duty with pride. Come back safe.
Joe
