Help! I've got a grey tree frog

cheetochi Jun 13, 2005 11:29 PM

under my fridge! I've tried to catch the little squirt, but he got away,he comes out when the lights are out(to the compleate disadvantage of us day built creatures)
is there any way to lure him/her out?will they be attracted to a saucer of water?
I've been wanting one,but they rarely come down from the trees here, though you hear them every summer night

Maybe try setting out crickets as lure. In a kritter keeper? or maybe tie a couple to strings and go fishing...

LOL of course a "serious[ly deranged, or defrigded] herper would empty the fridge and tip it over and disassemble the guts to get to the frog...

Sounds like a set the alarm for the middle of the night sort of operation...

My last Grey Tree Frog aquisition- at the end of my daughter's dance recital a group were exiting a busy doorway at a local high school- someone pushed open the door and a tree frog hopped right inside the building onto the doormat- I scooped it right up and kept walking- only a couple of people even saw what had happened.

GTF are great- big enough to get out once in a while, floppy and silly and coordinated at the same time, they eat well, and are hardy, and are really beautiful, mine change from almost pure white to light green to dark brown, and the pattern on them comes and goes day-to-day...fun frogs to own!
