I have a 30gal hex and the glue that holds the panels of glass together is very dirty. It would make the tank look a lot better if I peeled this out and reapplied...but how exactly should I go about doing this?

Should I just use a razor blade and remove as much as the old stuff as I can and then use aquarium silicon ?

Is it as simple as that or is there another process I shoudl use?

does the tank leak? if not just take the time to clean it. Alot fewer headaches. use an old toothbrush and just rinse the tank out well to rid of the cleaning agent.
