Ever sell something and THEN regret it about 2 minutes later?? -More opinion needed

southernboids Jun 14, 2005 07:20 AM

Ok.. so I will post 3 animals and I would like your opinion on what you see please.

Are they all albino but 1 is lighter?

Are 2 just darker then normal?

Are they all normal albino and just show how the color can vary or???

These came from out Snow Sunglow split litter. I am not sure but I do have my own opinion on what is going on.. but would like to hear what you think too.

#2 animal

#3 animal

same #3 even has what appears to be paradox markings, or the start of??

and the last animal #4

So what do you think???

If your having second thoughts DON'T SELL... I had a male boa deep orange color with deep orange saddles. One of the nicest coloumbians I had ever seen. I was male heave and a friend wanted it. He offered $200 so I let it go. Even whiel I was making the deal I was asking my self why am I selling this one I had another one he would of liked for 1/2 the price. Well now I own a pair of babys from his first breeding. They look like hypos except the have a black outline around the tail saddles. And now I'm trying to get him to breed "HIS" male to my female.

Looks like you got lucky and got a paradox coral and another coral.. I'd hold on to them and give them a little time for their color to come in. If you decide you don't want to keep them down the road you can always put them up for sale. But it's tought to get them back if you let them go now...

I'd say that the bottom two look like they will become corals, whereas the top one won't. Lucky you! I hope for your sanity that you haven't sold those two already! lol

I don't know and haven't seen enough albinos to say...
but it could be normal color differnces or as others have stated the two brighter ones may be coral. Do you think the two brighter ones are sunglows?
Not sure what you were looking for in way of opinions, I think they are all really nice tho! heh
Here is a comparision shot of two of the albino babies from my '03 litter, color difference

Here they were fresh at birth (and covered in yuck)

the lighter ones I thought were premature, but I had some of the light and some of the brighter both die. One light and one brighter one survived, the lighter one is still very pale and light the brighter one looks like a nicely colored albino but I would not call him a coral.
Anyways, that's just my own experience, like I said my color variation could have been due to the litter being mostly premies.

From an ethical standpoint, if you offered those for sale or otherwise made a contract to sell either verbally or written (even e-mail) then you may be legally obligated to sell.

I will sell as planned- just sellers remorse is all. I am glad to see the comparison pics too that really helps me out. Looks about the same differnce in those as mine. I guess only time will tell...

I could not keep them all.. even though I did try. My wife keeps counting to make sure they are selling and not finding a more permanent home with us. I was just having a problem saying I will keep this ONE and sell the rest. No.. wait.. that one and sell the rest.

I was looking for opinions on the colors to see if it was normal to have such a big difference.. there were sunglows in this litter as well, so I was able to seperate them so I would not think they are any more than extreme albinos. Now lets see which direction the reds take as she gets older.
