Just thought I'd share...it was more blotched than ringed on much of the body.

I've seen unusual color patterns emerge when the gravid female were kept at higher then normal temperatures, so this may not be genetic, you'd have to breed him to see. Once I had a female that was gravid with an upper respitory infection. Not thinking of the effects to her unborn young I kicked up the heat, she recovered but the babies were born with blotched patterns and zigzag. A percentage of them had kinked backs and tails. The same effect can be produce with corn snake eggs incubated at too high a temp. I expect that this is the case, also, with other colubrids.
