How young is too young??

Savvgawd Jun 14, 2005 01:27 PM

How young have people successfully bred males? I know I have seen several adds of people breeding 6 months old males who have been fed well. I'm thinking of buying a hatchling male that was born this year but would also like to breed this upcoming season, but wouldn't mind waiting until early 06. Any input would help thanks.

Since you don't mind waiting, pick your snake, take good care of him and plan for next year. If you get lucky he could be ready by mid season but it really depends on the snake, some go early some don't.

This is third time in about a week I've seen you answer this. Haha. Thanks though. I was wondering myself.

The irony is that these questions do get asked ALL THE TIME and people generally get tired of answering them ALL THE TIME, but then the newbies get all upset because all anyone on the ball forum wants to talk about are new morphs. So yeah - there are a handful of us that you'll see feilding all the easy questions most of the time. Now that you've gotten some ball expereince - feel free to join in - LOL !!

Or you could just give me a rude answer to please yourself, since I don't have the time to sit and read through the ball python forum all day. A simple answer would have been fine rather than a sarcastic one, but whatever makes you happy!

I apologize for that last post, it was pretty immature on my part. After going back in the thread I acually realized I had already posted this same question myself and had it answered! So very stupid on my part for not reading a post I started, sorry again!!

toshamc Jun 14, 2005 04:56 PM

I actually wasn't being rude at all - sorry if you took it that way. I provided you with the answer to your question.

The fact is (and this was directed soley at Ryans question) that it is asked alot and answered alot. Like many other questions.

Not a big deal, but alot of people get tired of answering the same questions over and over. So many people dont address these types of questions anymore and the newbies get all PO'd because their simple questions aren't answered.

Thats all I was pointing out to Ryan.

Hope you got the information you needed.

I acually wasn't mad at all, not a newbie either, it's just been a looong frustrating few days, stupid things have been getting the best of me. Thanks for trying to clarify.
