One of my chucks, Gracie, somehow managed to get out of the cage. I've been working odd hours (leaving before the lights come on and not returning until after they go off). I last saw Gracie on Saturday morning, and I realized she was missing yesterday evening. I tore the tank apart and my room, still no chuck. Any ideas about where / how to look for her. She may have gotten out of my room. We've got 6 cats, so I really want to find her before they do. I shut the cats out of my room this morning, and came home early hoping that she might be basking in a sunbeam, but no luck. There are a couple of one inch gaps in my bathroom that lead into the wall, I'm really hoping she hasn't found them

that was smart, but what if the chuck got out of your room the cats are still something to deal with.

The only thing I can tell you from know how thye act as far as free roaming they will always go to a light or heat,

I would set up a lamp on hte floor where you THINK she may be ( The room) and see if she comes to it! Maybe evn a few flowers or something she likes to eat!

Dang I'm sorry to hear Gracie got out I know how nervous it makes you UNTIL ya find them. Been there,

Let us know Alice how ya make out !

After tearing my room apart, constructing a rock pile in the sunbeam by the window, laying out a bowl of dandelions, and spending lots of time with my ear pressed against the walls listening for the scamper of little chuck feet, I was beginning to lose hope.

This evening, I was a little more level headed. I looked at the tank and realized that the only way to get off the top and avoid a five foot drop to the floor, was to jump down on the tarantula cages, once on the tarantula cages, the storage cupboard is only six inches away, and the doors were left ajar. As soon as I went to move a binder, I heard a bunch of scuttling

I think I've remedied the lid situation on the tank to prevent future escapes. I'm so relieved to have her back safe and sound!
