question about esu thermostats

electricbluescat Jul 13, 2003 10:38 PM

recently i bought two of these from big apple herpetogical, the item number is rp235. its the one that gos up to 500 watts.
can this thermostat be used with two heat pads? i was thinking like on power strip like the ones you get from home depot or wal mart. i would plug two heat pads in the power strip and then plug the thermostat in the power strip would it work like this? or do these devices just handle like one heat pad only each? if they do i will have to buy 2 more of these.

thanks,
jc

I'm not 100% sure yours is the same as mine, but mine can handle multiple devices and I'm pretty sure they all can. The number of devices shouldn't matter, its the total number of wattage on all devices. Just keep in mind that if you do use multiple devices they should be identical, and in identical enclosures with of course species with the same conditional requirements.

Thanks. The devices would be 4 small exo terra heat pads. The conditions will be the same cuz I am keeping the same kind of snakes.
