Jeff, yes it is but not typical in the least. Here's how this one came about........

In 1998 I bred 2 pyros from Prescott (Iron Springs Rd area) with lots of black crossovers. From that cluth I kept one of the females, nothing special about her with lots of black crossovers too. All the others from that clutch had lots of black crossovers. I bred her to another Prescott male in 2002 and in that clutch was this female pictured with no black crossovers so I kept her. All the others in that clutch had lots of black crossovers too. I bred her this year to another Prescott male (Thumb Butte area) with lots of black crossovers and she is gravid.

The other female that I have from Thumb Butte may not be gravid.

All of the wild-caught pyros that I mentioned came from within 1/2 mile of each other.

Jeff, I will let you know what hatches.

Kerby, I hate to see anyone hang on to "just a pyro" like that...just let us know if you need us to take care of it for you...LOL

Since I live in Arizona I can't buy, sell, trade or barter pyros. I have 12 months from the time they hatch to "gift" them away. I've been gifting away pyros for a few years now. This years crop is already accounted for. Always next year...........

That is a very nice pyro. Real vivid. Do you have a pic of a more typical Prescott pyro? Are they as vivid even when they have more black or is that an artifact of captivity?

Nice. Looks like it has a mustache like the ones north of the Grand Canyon.

From a couple of years ago. Sex unknown. I didn't collect this one.

Hopefully still in Prescott. Some very major construction near there recently.

Awesome snake! Those high band count Prescott are probably my favorite pyros.
