PythonMonitor,
...Haitian Boas are a different species than the Rainbow Boas. Though they and some of the other insular Epicrates are very occasionally called "Rainbow" Boas. I was looking in the otherboas section of the classifieds here on kingsnake.com and saw several Haitian Boas for sale with PICs. Haitian Boass can be very pretty though imported ones which are most often the ones offered for sale are often rough and not so attractive.

One of those Haitians in the classifieds belongs to a friend of mine....I was thinking about buying him, but I'm not sure I have the time for a lizard feeder right now....

Here are some photographs of the Hispaniolan boas

Top = fordi
Middle = gracilis
Bottom = striatus

Some more!

Top = gorgeous adult striatus
Middle = erythristic striatus juvenile (NO, not a Jamaican! These are quite common in the east of the D.R. and range from this bright orange to Coca Cola Red and Black!)
Bottom = Tropidophis

All animals from the Dominican Republic. As you can see from the one in the middle...that island is hiding some little secrets!

After seeing all those nice pics of some other Epicrates I thought I might share another one, one of my cuban boas, Epicrates angulifer.
