How soon does a 2nd clutch come if they are going to double clutch?

reptileszz Jun 15, 2005 06:26 AM

Hi there, I have looked around and cant seem to find this info. If a corn is going to double clutch how long after the first one is it generally. I totally powerfed my girls after the first one thinking it was the right thing to do to get weight back on them and then I find out this only encourages a double clutch. That wasnt my intention but I figure I would like to be prepared if they lay another one.

Thank you very much,
Carole

I have found that corn snakes often drop their second clutch at around the same time their first clutch is hatching (which would be about 60 days after their first clutch). Of course other people may have different experiences and all corns are individuals, but for me 60 days is usually the case.
