Depends on your water/food ratio. Too much water and it's runny, a little less and it thickens up a bit better. But no, it won't gel.

I mixed the gecko food with baby food and Syth loved it.

No...it really shouldn't be like gel. It will be considerably thinner than baby food if you mix it correctly (by the instructions). It will be very runny at first, but it will gel within a day or so. That's a good thing, though. If you make it too thick, it will be too dry/gritty and the geckos won't touch it.

I agree with AC. Mix it per instructions - don't even mix baby food in it. It will work just fine.

I have bought a ton of rhacs from people feeding different food - and I've switched them all to CG diet. No baby food just CG diet. They eat it - and thrive.

Just mix it like the bottle says - and you will be fine. It's good stuff.

Occasionally I will get a gecko from someone who hadn't been using the CGD and I usually can get the geckos on it in no time by
1. dusting crix with it
2. mixing the CGD w/Bolthouse Farms Berry Booster.
They really do so well on it I have trouble understanding why anyone wants to mess around with baby food and calcium/mineral additives, possibly still falling short of gecko nutritional requirements. I'm always tickled when I get babies from Anthony, Randy May or Shawn McVay and since they've been raised on it, they don't even miss a beat (ie. meal) adjusting to their new home.
