what the h-e-double hockey sticks is it?
Jason
Is that a Cinnamon Spider? Doesn't really look all that spiderlike. Kind of cool though. I like the white on the top.

Hey NERDs
Congrats on the new snake... very interesting how the Cinnamon changed the Spider so much yet that light yellow dorsal streak remained.
Was this a Spider and Cinnamon male bred to a Cinnamon female? Very neat! Certainly not what I expected.
Congrats again and Good Luck!

How can you get a super cinny by breeding a cinny to a spider. Isn't that a super cinny in the background?
Jason
If you bred a Spider AND and Cinnamon Pastel to a Cinnamon Pastel then theoretically you could get Normals, Spiders, Spider Cinnamons, Cinnamons and Super Cinnamons.
Nice clutch especially if there were no normals!
Thanks,

The Super Cinny is from a different clutch - just threw that in for a bit of a clue.

Makes you kind of wonder what a C-Pin-amon would look like doesn't it?
If thats what Cinnamon does to a spider pattern, I wonder what it would do to a pinstripe?

Hello Mark,
I was quite surprised that the Cinnamon was able to influence the Spider pattern so much. Kevin stated below that it removed nearly all of the labial and under chin markings! WOW!
I think that the Cinna-Pin is something that needs to be done. I'm not sure if those nice folks at BHB are expecting anything like that this year but I sure hope it happens soon, as I can't wait! If its not done this year I'm not sure if I can work up the "balls" to miss my shot at a Super Cinnamon to do it next year! Maybe a Pewter Pin?!? Who knows... we'll just have to wait and see...
More evidence that Spiders KICK ASS!!! Everyone needs them in their collection...
Good luck!

Ok, I'm just a level headed kind of guy and these are baby Ball Pythons.
So the correct answer in my view to "What am I" would be : "A Ball Python breeder"... Did I win the car?
Rob Reiding. (...wondering how to breed that Super Cinnamon into a Piebald...).
A spider mohave? I think it is! :-P
Hehe.
you're forgetting one thing about nature.....it's UNPREDICTABLE!
To think we can predict exactly how two traits will interact is assanine on our part. Didn't last season and the YellowBelly teach us anything?? LOL
Were some people expecting a textbook patterned Spider with only the Cinnamon's colours? Cinnamon is a colour AND pattern trait, so why wouldn't it exert some influence in the pattern of the cross?
Makes sense to me; but then again I guessed right.
Happy Herping!
BB
BB..your a real hero
Huh?
Do you mean "You're a real hero"?
I certainly don't mind a joke at my expense; provided it's spelled correctly. LOL
Learn to spell, fella.
"Your" is referring to ownership, while "you're" is a contraction for "you are."
Glad I could help.
BB
...because you certainly have no business throwing stones.
Let's evaluate your initial post...
"you're forgetting one thing about nature.....it's UNPREDICTABLE!"
Hmmm...
Did someone forget to capitalize the first letter of their sentence...???
"To think we can predict exactly how two traits will interact is assanine on our part."
Hmmm...
I've heard of "asinine"...
But never "assanine"...
Rather ironic, when you consider the context you used it in...
"Makes sense to me; but then again I guessed right."
Hmmm...
Too bad your grammar and spelling isn't up to the same standard you apparently expect of others...
It's nice to know the "grammar police" are still alive and well...
Albeit somewhat underachieving...

You are just SO much better at this then anyone else..... I'm glad you step in every now and then and put us all in our places.... It's been a while since I've seen you here... Good to see you back, I hope you're here a LOT more often... I've seen some really atrocious misspellings lately....
By the way... How are all of those hybrids working out for you???? The heck with sticking to same species matings...... I figure if anyone should diegn to play God it not only would, but should be you.....

By the way...
The word is "deign"...
Not "diegn"...
LOL...

LOL, thank you so much for pointing out my transposition of letters.... You are just SO clever to figure it out, and I thank you most humbly for the correction. As for the other thing.... I'll have to ask them the next time I see them.... I'll make sure to put in a good word for you, but I'm sure you speak quite well for yourselves....

VERY COOL!!!

I'll firmly cast my vote for Spider-mon (thus ensuring that it'll be called ANYTHING but that) But seriously.... It's a cool name.

>I like that name best and I think that is what will stick.
We have had a storm front in the area and I have been unable to take much of a picture to represent these snakes. I need some decent light.
They are not what I expected, then again, I don't KNOW what I expected. They have this weird brown/red tint to them and a very pale tongue. I expect them to change quite a bit as they grow. I think they are going to have quite a bit of white, way more than you would expect by my poor pictures. Look at the spider/mojave, big changes from babies to what they look like now. I am amazed how the pattern appears, the Cinnamon gene took charge of it and almost removed every bit of the spider moustache and chin water mark. I will try again today to take better pics.
Thanks - Kev

Whatever you name it, I'm sure it will be a cool one for these sweet babies.
I still love the Bumble Bees. What can be better then that?
I know, Killer Bees.
Take care
DragonDavy
The combinations this year are astounding...
the more I see them, the more and more I can't wait to get into breeding.
I forgot who had the idea, but I like the name "Cinder" for them.
I ADORE that little blackie in the upper left hand corner! That is the best morph in my opinion. He is so gothic.

4.1 Ball pythons
1.0 Boa Constrictor Imperator
0.1 albino Cranwell's horned frog
1.1 breeding Clawed frogs
1.0 black kittycat
3.1 Oscar cichlids
Also have fancy goldfish, african cichlids, and rats. And 1 Paint horse mare
Seeing the Cinnamon crosses makes me very happy as I've said before they are an underrated snake with a TON of potential that many people don't see.
I can't wait to see all the rest this year and as always Kevin and crew, Good Job! You guys are rockers which means you really ROCK!
Good Luck with everything and get some more shots of that Black Ball (Super Cinnamon) produced from Cinnamon to Black Pastel?
