hey just wanted to thank you all for your info on what was thought to be a RI. I felt that after 3 treatments I should maybe try another vet and get a different opinion. Well I am glad I did, the vet I was using said he was an "exotic" vet but now I am thinking otherwise. The "new" vet I am suing diagnosed the problem in 2 seconds or as long as it took to get the guy out of the pillow case. He said it was mouth rot and he could tell by the fact that the mouth didn't shut right and he was rubbing his face. So now we have started a heavy treatment, including topical 1¾tadine solution rinse and 2 different types of antibiotics to keep a secondary infection from developing. the vet said he thinks we caught it soon enough and that the antibiotics from the other vet were just enough to keep it from getting out of hand. So now hopefully we can get him cured up and eating again. I really appreciate your input and thanks Again
