There are several terms, but the most widely accepted are dominant, codominant, and incomplete dominant. I like to add a fourth type of dominance to cover the Yellow Bellies, Mojaves, Cinnamons, etc -- Chaotic Dominance.

Oh! And the Pastels are incomplete dominant.

So many people incorrectly refer to pastels as "co-dominant", when they can best be described as incomplete dominant, as you stated.

Don't give me the credit. I learned from all the good folks on the Kingsnake Ball Python forum -- Randy Remington and crew.

Although you have to steer clear of some people. Toshamc is a very knowledgable person, but if you catch her before her morning coffee she'll give you a wrong answer every time. LOL

I love you, Tosha! =)

You know I love you, Tosha! =)

And we ALL know that I am the king of unreliable theories!

(Bachman gets jazzed alot, but I haven't seen him come up wrong yet. Why is it that nobody ever listens to him? They should. His mice v. rats theory is pretty solid. Bachman for president! Vive la Bachman!)

Pastel Jungle,Woma,Yellow Belly,Mojave,Red Axanthic,Platinum,Butter,Cinnamon,Fire,Calico,Spotnose,Spider, Pinstripe,Granite and maybe a few other I'm forgetting will all produce "visual hets" their first breeding. In other words a mojave bred to a normal should give you at least one mojave in that clutch. I think granite and spider will or should give you all granite or spider the first time around. Granite and spider actually being dominant rather than codominat. Anyway, that's why people say pastels are the best way to break into the morphs. They're on the less expensive side of the morphs and you can start producing them right away.
