Question to those of you who use 12 quart shoe boxes in your racks >

Leo Lover Jul 14, 2003 12:22 AM

How much room is there exactly inside? What can you fit in there?

I am using 16 & 17 quarts, and I think that those are even a bit small. I can fit one humid hide, one dry hide, a water dish, and then a dish of mealworms with calcium powder for the leo to lick it. I figure save a little space and just take 2 of something (mealworm dish calcium dish) and put it all into one. I see my hathclings lick the calcium anyways.

I'm looking at some racks and want everyones opinion, cuz I see alot of racks with just 12 quarts.

Thanx for any info!

I use 12 quarts. You dont really need a humid hide unless she is about the lay. Also, instead of the humid hide you can spray the paper towel with water once in a while to help them shed. Also, i dont put any dry hide, they go under the paper towel though. Ummm, i fit adults in those.
