Arabesque or not Arabesque that is the question.......

STUART Jun 15, 2005 10:17 PM

You know I never thought I would run into a "jungle" delimma with an arabesque not knowing if it is or isnt. If this was a normal I could tell immediately. But its an albino. She was born right along with her albino arabesque siblings. She has the color of the other albino arabesques and is considerably different in color and pattern from the normal albinos produced that were nice and creamsicle with normal boa looks. This is a paradox here. She is smokin in her own right but I have no idea to be honest with you. The first 1/4 youd think she was arabesque but then the saddles dont connect however look at that tail whew! So what do you think? Just wondering

I see your dilemma. She has the coloration down pat but the patterning doesn't appear arabesque to me. Is anyone else who produces albino arabs seeing some non arabs with this awesome coloring? I personally would say non arab but keep her to try and prove her out one way or another.

Hey Stuart,

That's a great looking albino! I can't really tell from the photo...but does she have the circle pattern(s) on the top of her head that Arabesque boas have?

Thanks,
Celia

Shes got those arabesque saddles in the front and on the neck all swirly and cool. Shes just not connected all the way down its got me stumped lol.

I don't know then. If she's got the head dot thing and somewhat connected saddles...

I say, keep her...raise her up...prove her out. At least she's a female...I know I can always use females! I've got three Hypo girls from my Jungle x Hypo litter that I'm doing the same thing with. Sometimes it's just too hard to tell and why take the chance of underselling them.......

Good luck with that girl! Whatever she is...she's a great looking boa!

Thanks,
Celia

Hi Stuart,
I would say that she's not an arabesque, but a helluva pretty albino! lol
Still, it can be hard to tell in the albino version, so I'm gonna go with Celia and say raise her up and prove her out. Worst case scenario, you have an AWESOME albino that'll produce awesome babies!
