I havent posted in a long time. My frogs are doing good but i have a ? about my pacman. He was sleeping most of winter and he finnaly woke up couple days ago. I fed him some crix and they dissapeared but he hasnt moved from his spot. I gave more crix today and found him eating but he was staying in his sleeping spot underground with his head out and his eyes closed. Is he still trying to wake up or is something wrong with his eyes... He seems really skinny to so im starting to feed him more. I know they arent active but he is staying in that one spot like since forever. Any responses will help thx in advance!

I would try spraying him with warm water (from an unused, new spray bottle.) Sometimes they get this coating over themselves when brumating for long periods. I have to do this when I dig Benny out periodically.

Forgot to mention; when they are eating, you know how they "blink" their eyes (it helps them push the food down into the stomach.) Maybe you caught your frog in the middle of doing that, and it just seemed like he was havin trouble opening his eyes?

Thanks i will try misting him with warm water. He wasnt swallowing casue i know he closes his eyes all the way. His eyes are like half way open and have a glossy coating over it. Almsot like eyelids. They opened today for amin when i let him soak in water and he closed em. I think i was just paranoid when he finnaly woke up from sleeping for soo long. Thanks for ur response.

How did the spraying go? It was probably just that coating they get over their skin, when they brumate for awhile. It can act as a sealer over the eyes, making them harder to open. In the wild, it is used to retain moisture between it (the coating) and the skin.
