internal bleeding?

mksmat Jun 16, 2005 12:27 PM

I picked up my gecko today, and she is very lethargic. She gets mouth infections, so I looked inside her mouth. When I looked, I found that the inside of her mouth, normally a nice pink, is completely white. The tip of her tongue did not turn red, as it usually does. Her belly usually has a pink tinge, and is completely white, too. As well, there is a large, dark purple area beneath the skin of her belly. The area has sort of a parallelogram shape, on the lower left side of her belly. It seems to me that she might be bleeding internally. I am very concerned. If she is bleeding internally, I doubt that there is much I can do for her. Any ideas?

Never mind...she died this afternoon. I think it was internal bleeding...the dark area got bigger. There was nothing I could have done, but it's still very sad.
